We’ve been focusing on Mental Health for this month and I wanted to end this series with a story from a friend of mine called Naomi. Below you will see a video of Naomi telling her story and also a podcast of an interview she did recently in a Church meeting. Naomi is 31 years old and has struggled with her own Mental Health for a number of years. Her story is challenging and inspiring, but the reason I wanted to share with you was because she started to notice problems as a teenager in Secondary School. She has said recently that if her problems had been recognised earlier than maybe she’d have had the help she needed and who knows what difference that would have made to her life?

The podcast interview is taken from a Church service, if you would like to go direct to the interview that starts at 16:36 minutes.

Just to mention also we still have some places left on our Mental Health First Aid Course on 26th and 27th April in Birmingham. If you are interested in booking or want more information please contact us on 0121 405 0310.
